Key Terms

CWD - Current Working Directory Parent Directory - Directory directly above the directory in question ~ - Home Directory

Commands

• cd (change directory)
  • This command lets you traverse directories.

  Usage:

  cd ..   #This allows to go to the parent directory of the CWD
  cd CTF-Course   #This will change directory to CTF-Course, if it is inside the CWD. This is known as a relative pathname.
  cd ~
  

• ls - List Storage

  Usage:

  ls   #This defaults to using ls on the CWD
